An unexpected outcome.....

When I originally signed up for the Cardiac Challenge I didn't realise that in the not too distant future, I may come to really rely on these services. By pure accident in late 2026 it was discovered that I have a dilated aortic root which will likely require open heart surgery and replacement within the next 1-5 years. Rehab and support services at home here in Cairns will be invaluable to myself and young family during recovery. Looking forward to taking part in the ride this year for the first time!
