I am fundraising for..

I’m taking on the challenge of riding from Cairns to Cooktown for one simple reason: to raise funds to help make a real difference in the lives of people in our Far North Queensland (FNQ) community. The community of FNQ deserve access to the best health care system available in Australia. 

Being a nurse working in the hospital, I get to see how important it is in having the right equipment to help establish an accurate diagnosis, making it easier for the treating teams to work together with their patients to implement an individualised treatment pathway.

Cardiovascular diseases are one of the leading causes of mortality in Australian (Australian institute of Health and Welfare, 2024), it touches so many of us—whether it’s a family member, a friend, or even ourselves. 

By supporting this ride, we’re helping fund vital cardiac services that save lives right here in FNQ.

Every kilometre I/we pedal is a step closer to better care, more advanced equipment, and improved outcomes for those who need it most. It’s not just a bike ride; it’s a way to give back to the community, inspire others, and show that together, we can achieve something incredible.
