I am fundraising for..

I joined the team Rose's Riders team in 2009 as a supporter when I first became aware of the ride and how the funds were critical to the cardiac facility in a regional area like Cairns. Since then my family or I have been part of the ride as a supporter, rider or volunteer. In 2011 I rode for the first time with my son Luke and my partner Ian and daughter Jasmine as support. 

This year I feel proud and privilege to be riding again with a great team 'Rose's Riders - Riding for Luke'. This time with Jasmine riding for the first time, my partner again doing a superb job as escort driver, and so many new and long term friends / team mates on the ride. 

The challenge of riding to Cooktown for one simple reason: to make a real difference in the lives of people in our community. Heart disease touches so many of us—whether it’s a family member, a friend, or even ourselves. By supporting this ride, we’re helping fund vital cardiac services that save lives right here in Far North Queensland.

Every kilometre I pedal is a step closer to better care, more advanced equipment, and improved outcomes for those who need it most. It’s not just a bike ride; it’s a way to give back to the community, inspire others, and show that together, we can achieve something incredible.
