VOLUNTEER ROLES
We’re looking for enthusiastic, capable and committed people to support our team for various roles throughout the day.
We love our volunteers because without your help, this event wouldn’t happen.

Shuttle Bus Driver
Participants will be transported from the Palm Cove Jetty car park to the Ellis Beach–Wangetti Trail starting point via shuttle bus. We are seeking three licensed drivers who are confident driving a 12‑seat bus — no special licence is required.
Drivers will be needed the day before the event to help load equipment into the buses. On the morning of the event, the buses will need to arrive at approximately 5.30am so equipment can be unloaded for event setup.
Trail Guides
These roles are best suited to reasonably fit individuals, as you will need to walk sections of the Wangetti Trail and spend extended periods on your feet. Volunteers will be stationed along the trail to guide participants along the single route and ensure they remain on course.
At the conclusion of the event, we will also need a couple of volunteers to “sweep” the trail, walking the full route to confirm that all participants have safely returned to the starting point.

Medics
Must have basic valid medical first aid certificate and offer first aid assistance where required. Must have a mobile phone to be used in the event of an emergency to telephone 000.
