Y'all know I love a good challenge! I'm off to do Cardiac Challenge once again. But, this year's means a little more to me than the lasts.
Most of you don't know... Recently, Dad had two major arteries opened with balloons and stents after struggling with breathlessness doing everyday things.
I moved to Mount Isa and it has been challenging to be away. But every phone call home reminds me how lucky we are. Dad is happier, sharper, more engaged, and his cheeky sense of humour is back in full force!
The cardiac team, and Dr Hawkes have given Dad the opportunity to enjoy life more fully.
So my ride this year will be with a very grateful heart. Thank you to everyone who donates to the Cardiac Challenge. Your support helps make stories like Dad's possible, and gives families like mine more time, more laughs, and more memories together. ❤️😭
Great to see my brother feeling so much better. Sure hope he enjoys life more now.
