Why do I take on this challenge?
We all need to make a difference in this world. It could be by assisting an elderly person across the street, picking up someone else's rubbish or committing to do a charitable thing, anything.
My journey with the FNQ Hospital Foundation is more than just taking on a big bike ride, it's to fundraise for essential cardiac equipment & services for Cairns Hospital, a way to give back to the community even if it's by doing one decent thing every year. One day I might be the one who needs help and wouldn't it be a hoot to be wired up to a piece of equipment I helped fundraise for?
