I'm fundraising for...

the Far North Queensland Hospital Foundation (FNQHF) to help improve health care services in our region. Every dollar raised goes directly to funding vital medical equipment, supporting health care improvements, and enhancing patient care services across Far North Queensland - from Tully to the Torres Strait.

Since 1997, FNQHF has contributed over $27 million to health care improvements, making a real difference in our community. Your support helps us continue this vital work, ensuring better health care access for our region's 285,000+ residents.

The Training Begins.

Tuesday 31st Mar
Tony has started training for the Great Wheelbarrow Race.  Tony has lived with Parkinson's for over 20 years.  This will be a challenge and a gruelling effort for him over the 3 day event.  Tony used to love running when he was younger and took part in Ultra Marathons, Marathons and Half Marathons as well as fun runs in Melbourne and enjoyed participating in the City to Surf in Sydney each year.  Since his diagnosis in 2005 and the deterioration over the years, the joy of running has been taken away from him.  But he is determined to contribute to this amazing cause and achieve something amazing by participating in the GWR.  Amazingly, training with a wheelbarrow is helping is balance.  So, it's meant to be.
