Gear up for an exhilarating cycle through the picturesque cane fields of Gordonvale on August 10.
Nestled in the stunning backdrop of Walsh's Pyramid, Gordonvale is in the perfect setting for a memorable one-day bike ride.
The journey kicks off and wraps up at Norman Park, Gordonvale. Pedal out from Norman Park along the scenic Pine Creek Road, heading towards Bessie Point. Here, you can catch a breather, enjoy some refreshments, and make use of the facilities before cycling back for a well-deserved barbecue lunch.
For those who crave a bit more adventure, the longer course beckons! Post-refreshment, continue your ride along Barbagallo Road, sweeping through Aloomba's charming landscapes, before making your way back to Norman Park.
Whether you're in for a leisurely ride or a longer challenge, this event promises a day of beauty, community, and cycling fun!
Minimum Fundraising Requirement: To participate, each rider is required to raise a minimum of $100. Every dollar contributes to vital neonatal care at the Cairns Hospital Special Care Nursery, making a real difference in the lives of premature and sick newborns.

Why support the ride?
The Alive Pharmacy Warehouse Ride for Isabel is more than just a cycling event. It's a heartfelt journey, initiated by Curtis Pitt, former Member for Mulgrave, and his wife Kerry. Born from their personal story of loss with their daughter Isabel, who was stillborn at 41 weeks in 2008, this event holds a profound significance. Ride for Isabel was founded to raise awareness and funds for stillbirths.
This year, the ride takes on an even more poignant purpose – raising funds for the Special Care Nursery at Cairns Hospital.
The Special Care Nursery averages more than 900 admissions each year, providing evidence-based neonatal care to premature and sick newborns in the Far North. They care for sick and/or premature babies born at 29 weeks and over.
Babies are admitted to the nursery for many reasons. Some of the most common reasons are respiratory support, blood glucose monitoring and phototherapy.
