12 Hour Cycle Relay event
Tuesday 10th JunHow do you define success? Reflecting on the weekend after our collaborative fundraiser with Roses Riders-riding for Luke. The 12 Hour Cycle Relay was a successful event across many aspects. Yes we raised important funds for our teams which was the aim of the event, however, the day became more than just a fundraiser. It became a community of bike riders of all abilities coming together, celebrated being on a bike, supporting each others journey, sharing stories, lots of laughter, fun, families, food. The event brought the cardiac challenge spirit that was seen across all 12 hours of the event. Participants showing true courage and camaraderie as they challenged them selves and their team mates to step out side their comfort zones and find the magic of achieving big personal goals. We’re taking on the challenge of riding to Cooktown as a team for one simple reason: to make a real difference in the lives of people in our community.
Heart disease affects so many of us—whether it’s a family member, a friend, or even ourselves. Together, we’re riding to raise funds for vital cardiac services that save lives right here in Far North Queensland.
Every kilometre we pedal is a step closer to better care, more advanced equipment, and improved outcomes for those who need it most. This isn’t just a bike ride; it’s our way of giving back to the community, inspiring others, and proving that teamwork can achieve incredible things.
