Why I'm supporting the Australian Retirement Trust Cardiac Challenge
Why am I supporting the Cardiac Challenge?
Because apparently I like pain and suffering. 😂
300 km. Three days. Two mountain ranges. What could possibly go wrong?
But jokes aside, I’m supporting the Australian Retirement Trust Cardiac Challenge because there’s a much more meaningful reason to get on a bike and voluntarily make my legs hurt for three days.
Cardiac disease touches so many lives — our family, friends, colleagues, and sometimes ourselves. Here in Far North Queensland, this ride helps raise vital funds for cardiac equipment and care that can make a genuine difference to people in our community.
So yes, I’ll be spending three days questioning my life choices while climbing mountains on a bicycle… but every kilometre is helping support better cardiac care, better equipment and better outcomes for people who really need it.
It’s a little bit of suffering for a much bigger cause. ❤️🚴♀️
If you’d like to support me, you can donate, share the fundraiser, or simply cheer me on from a safe distance while I slowly question why I thought this was a good idea.
Every little bit helps — and I promise to earn every dollar in sweat. 😅
