Mossman Hospital has received a $72,000 patient monitoring system upgrade, enhancing real-time tracking of patient conditions across the hospital.
Funded by the Mossman Friends of the Foundation and proceeds from an event at Hemingways Brewery Port Douglas, this new technology allows clinicians to monitor patients from multiple locations, not just at the bedside.
Acute and Aged Care Nurse Unit Manager Ruth Crimmins described the upgrade as long-awaited, increasing both patient safety and the hospital’s capabilities.

Funded by Pink in the Tropics, the local Leukaemia Foundation branch, these chairs offer adjustable positioning, improved circulation support, and height settings for medical procedures.
Long treatment sessions are now much more comfortable for patients, while medical staff benefit from improved functionality.
