Patients at Innisfail Hospital now have access to a new Umano Medical Low-Low Bed, enhancing safety and comfort for those at higher risk of falls. With an ultra-low height of just 25cm and a built-in bed exit alarm, the bed provides a safer environment for vulnerable patients, reducing the risk of falls and improving overall care.
This purchase was made possible through a generous donation from John Cole Toyota, whose support ensures that patients in Innisfail continue to receive high-quality care close to home.

Cancer patients at Innisfail Hospital can now receive their treatment in greater comfort, thanks to a new blanket warmer for the oncology unit. Chemotherapy patients often experience chills during infusions, but with the blanket warmer, they can now enjoy the soothing warmth of heated blankets—described by patients as feeling like a "big warm hug."
This $7186 piece of equipment ensures that patients can stay warm and comfortable during their treatment, improving their overall experience. The blanket warmer was funded through the fundraising efforts of the Innisfail Friends of the Foundation and the generous support of the local community.

Women receiving gynaecological care at Innisfail Hospital will now benefit from the addition of a second gynaecological bed, improving efficiency and reducing wait times for procedures and check-ups. Previously, only one examination couch was available, meaning patients often had to wait for a free room. Thanks to this new equipment, provided through the generosity of the Catalano Family Foundation, visiting specialists can now see more patients in a timely manner.

The High Dependency Unit at Innisfail Hospital now has a new procedure trolley, ensuring essential medical equipment is readily available for staff when attending to patients. This addition enhances patient care by providing immediate access to necessary clinical tools at the bedside while also improving the organisation of workspaces with built-in storage, a sharps container, and a dedicated work platform. Funded by the Catalano Family Foundation, this equipment supports staff in delivering efficient, high-quality care to the local community.
